This fall, Texas United posted a 9-2 record traveling to several recruiting tournaments during the month of November. They included: University of Denver Fall Team Camp (Nov. 5th / 6th): 3 W - 2 L UPLAX (Nov. 12th / 13th): 6 W - 0 L Players from 16 different schools, all 3 districts, and all 3 divisions took part in Texas United's, first ever fall. After a tremendous statewide response, our squads were able to compete at the highest level. These players did a tremendous job and established a new precedent for our Texas United program.
The following Texas programs were represented in Texas United's inaugural fall trips:
Coppell – Dallas – D1 – 2011 State Champion
Episcopal School of Houston – Houston – D1
Episcopal School of Dallas - Dallas - D1
Houston Christian – Houston – D1
Hillcrest – Dallas – D2 – 2011 State Champion
Frisco – Dallas – D3
Greenhill - Dallas - D2
McKinney – Dallas – D2
Parish Episcopal – Dallas – D3
Plano West – Dallas – D1
Southlake – Dallas – D1
St. Marks – Dallas – D1
The Woodlands – Houston – D1
Westlake – Austin – D1
We are thankful for having such a tremendous group of players to start our newest program. They all worked hard, bought in, and ultimately paved the way for a new statewide initiative.
Denver Squad
The U.
UPLax Squad
A little taste of our Denver fall ball action. We were able to execute with our young guys, and rely on our veterans to give us big goals. We are a United front, come and join us.
This summer, StickStar Lacrosse’s Dallas Select squad had more players from outside of Dallas than in any previous year. Dallas Select’s squad saw players from each of the three Texas districts and each of the three Texas divisions.
This unparalled, unified effort has prompted the next progression in StickStar’s team-based services. Building on the statewide momentum, StickStar is launching Texas United!
StickStar’s approach to teaching the team-based game through components allows for quicker player integration. Players such as Sam Jones (Westwood) and Max Skibber (EHS) have paved the way for this statewide initiative.
Texas United will not take the place of Dallas Select but will work in unison with it. Separate tourneys and training opportunities will flow from the Texas United side of operation.
Growth will not be forced but will be steady, consistent and organic. As we are a Texas-based lacrosse company, we want to see all Texas lacrosse players improve and develop. Our Texas United front will also look to focus on and accentuate the commonalities between our divisions and districts. We look forward to building this squad to stand as a Texas United!
Texas United will be holding open practices statewide! STAY TUNED for upcoming dates! We are a select organization that identifies potential players by watching tons of games and by recruiting from within. However, should you be interested, please contact Coach Crimmins, at apc@stickstarlacrosse.com.
Tommy McClenahan (Coppell - Junior) and A.J. Anderson (Westwood - Junior) show that we can all just get along.
