All of it.
What excites you about coming down to Texas for an event like this?
Getting to work with and learn from like minded coaches, who are focused on providing an environment that nourishes fundamental development and creativity.
You would be hard pressed to find someone who has studied & coached the game at as many levels as Coach Cooper has over the past decade. His coaching path began at Michigan State University where he was the Offensive Coordinator for 3 years and he helped the program to its first ever Top-10 National Ranking. In the fall of 2012, Coach Cooper joined the coaching staff at NCAA Division III Dennison University as an Assistant Coach. Over the next 2 seasons at Dennison, Coach Cooper would help the program reach a 32-4 mark in all competitions including a 19-1 run in 2014. During that same season, team records were broken for wins, goals, assists, and points all while the Big Red were able to reach the NCAA Division III Quarterfinals.
In the fall of 2014, following a phenomenal 2 year campaign at Dennison, Coach Cooper decided it was time to go Ivy and took a coaching position at Princeton University for the 2014/15 season. During his time with the Tigers, Coach Cooper had the opportunity to work closely with the team’s defensive unit and focus on player development. Fun Fact: Winter Combine Coach Dylan Sheridan (Cleveland State) was actually the Defensive Coordinator for Princeton during Coach Coopers year with the program! Crazy!
Following a successful 9-6 campaign for the Tigers in 2015, Coach Cooper took his first position as a Head Coach when he took over the program at Division III John Carrol University for the 2016 season. The 2016 season turned out to be a good one for Coach Cooper, as it saw his program finish with a 6-1 conference record (Ohio Athletic Conference) on their way to the program’s 1st Conference Championship. In addition to his team’s success, following the 2016 season, Coach Cooper was named the 2016 Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Lacrosse Coach of the Year for his efforts.
In the fall of 2016, following another successful season, Coach Cooper made the move back to the Division I level as a coach for the Binghamton University Men’s Lacrosse Team. Coach Cooper is currently the Offensive Coordinator & Recruiting Coordinator for the Bearcats who are coming of their program’s best season to date. After being selected to finish dead last in an American East Preseason Poll the Bearcats set a program record for wins in a season (11) and reached the American East Championship for just the second time in the program’s history.
