#StickStarReport18: D1 Rankings

Just a little bit movement in the top 10.

We used our first top 10 to put together our program previews, and we will try to layer in more program previews as the season continues.  There was definitely some movement and things will get a lot more interesting after Spring Break rolls through.  Lets take a look at how it all breaks down.

No. 1 Dallas Jesuit – Some close games in the last week Jesuit rolls into Spring Break where they’ll play Archbishop Spalding and Gonzaga.

No. 2 The Woodlands – The Highlanders went out to the ATX and got two 10-5 victories over Westlake & LT.  Two of our top 10 teams in the State.

No. 3 ESD – The Eagles have registered the biggest win of the Spring with a W against the Scots.  A huge win against a great opponent.

No. 4 Highland Park – The Scots settled into a tough California road trip where they’ll play Corona Del Mar, Poway, and Torrey Pines.

No. 5 Westlake – The Chaps have lost three games to teams all above them in our rankings.  They will play McCallie, Calvert Hall, and Lake Norman on Spring Break.

#StickStarReport18 presented by Josey Records all year long.

No. 6 St. Marks – The Lions dropped games to Westlake and Jesuit but rebounded against McKinney.  They kick off Spring Break with a game against STAB.

No. 7 Flower Mound – From their schedule, it doesn’t look like FM has travel plans.  They rest, wait, and prepare for Jesuit on the other side of break.

No. 8 Lake Travis – Lake Travis dropped one against the Woodlands in the ATX, but rebounded in a district matchup against Dripping Springs.

No. 9 Kinkaid – The Falcons defeated an unbeaten Seven Lakes team to remain in the top 10.

No. 10 Southlake – The Dragons come in at 3-1 with wins over McKinney, Dripping Springs, and Rockwall.  Their only loss, a one-goal contest to Westlake.

Plano West drops out but the Wolfpack have played several teams very tough.  All of their games have been close just posting a 6-3 loss against Jesuit.

Other teams deserving consideration: Allen, Coppell, Seven Lakes, Dripping Springs, and Austin High.
